Illustrated throughout with detailed line drawings and diagrams, this beginners guide to fishing includes sections on coarse, trout and sea fishing explaining the tackle, rigs and baits to use, as well as species, fish location, casting, and fishing techniques such as float fishing and legering. The best methods to use in pursuit of each species, and techniques and tactics for trout fishing on still waters and rivers are also included. The guide can be studied and enjoyed at leisure, or used for quick reference at the water's edge when a change of tactics is required. Either way, it provides a valuable reference book for the beginner and for the all-around angler.

About the Author:
Tony Whieldon has been fishing since boyhood. He grew up in an area of trout streams and country estate lakes, so it is hardly surprising that he was bitten by the fishing bug so early. His favourite pursuits include fly fishing for trout, float fishing for roach and tench and trying to outwit grey mullet. Over the years, he has produced a wealth of illustrations for fishing magazines and books as well as privately commissioned paintings.
