Richard Whitaker is one of Australia's leading meteorologists. A former senior forecaster for the Sydney region at the Bureau of Meteorology, he now runs a meteorological consultancy business and is senior meteorologist for The Weather Channel. He is author of Australia's Natural Disasters, Understanding Climate Change, and other books.
