Desire J. M. Anastasia holds a Ph.D. in sociology from Wayne State University. She has taught at Wayne State, Oakland University, and San Diego State University. Her areas of research specialization include domestic violence and sexual assault. Mark Lanier earned his Ph.D. at Michigan State University. Dr. Lanier is a professor, a full member of the graduate faculty, and the dean's special projects assistant in the College of Arts and Science at the University of Alabama. He writes extensively on crime and criminology. Douglas B. Klutz, MPA, received his Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in policy analysis from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington.
