About the Author:

Brooke Foss Westcott (1825 1901) was a British bishop, Biblical scholar and theologian, serving as Bishop of Durham from 1890 until his death. He is perhaps most known for his co-authoring of The New Testament in the Original Greek in 1881. Fenton John Anthony Hort (1828 1892) was an Irish theologian and editor, with Brooke Westcott of a critical edition of The New Testament in the Original Greek.
