"Windy City Christmas - Quilted Memories of Marshall Field's" by Diana Richards and Jan McGrath offers 15 colorful embroidery, piecing and applique designs that can be used together or individually. There are children's aprons, a wall quilt, place mats, napkins, tote bags, pillow, a tree skirt and I love the Holiday Stockings pattern with their curled up toes and jingle bell cuffs. The main quilt project in the book pays homage to that grand store Marshall Fields. All the blocks in this project are embroidered. The center block has a beautifully stitched Christmas tree. The patterns are printed at 100% and in color. Instructions are clearly written. All the applique in the book is done using fusible and machine stitching so you still have time to finish one of these projects in time for this year's celebrations! About the Author:

Diana Richards took her first quilt class from Jan McGrath, found her happy place, and never looked back. Diana designs quilts and teaches quilting in her home studio. She is the Indiana state co-ordinator for the Quilts of Valor Foundation. Jan McGrath launched Bits 'n Pieces quilt shop to give herself the chance to run programs, classes, and events for quilters in Northwest Indiana.
