About the Author:
Dick Stewart has been tying flies since the age of fourteen and has been professionally involved in the fly-fishing industry for the past twenty years. He has authored or coauthored nine books, including the best-selling Universal Fly Tying Guide. His trout fishing experience began in Pennsylvania and has since included fly fishing throughout the Northeast and most of the Rocky Mountain states. Formerly editor and publisher of American Angler magazine, Dick has settled in the White Mountains area of New Hampshire. Farrow Allen moved from New York City to Vermont, where for twelve years he owned a fly-fishing shop in the Burlington area. During this time he co-authored a book Vermont Trout Streams. A longtime fly tyer, Farrow has fished extensively for trout throughout the Northeast, and has ventured as far as Washington State. He has been associated with American Angler magazine and now resides in New Hampshire.
