About the Author:

Alice Turner is contributing editor at Playboy. For many years she was the magazine's fiction editor and is the creator of the College Fiction Contest.

Thom Jones is one of the leading short-story writers of his generation, and the author of Sonny Liston Was a Friend of Mine, Cold Snap, and The Pugilist at Rest, a National Book Award finalist and O'Henry Award winner. Eight of his stories have been published in Playboy.
