The profound effect music can have over a person's ability to heal was first noted after World War I when doctors at veterans hospitals noticed that soldiers who were entertained by visiting musicians recovered faster from their wounds. About the Author:
Howard Richman is a concert pianist, composer and music educator who has been using his advanced music training and intuitive awareness to create music since 1982. Judy Nelson is a board certified music therapist and speech pathologist and founder of the Music Therapy Wellnesss Center at California State University where she is an associate clinical professor of music therapy. She also teaches meditation, guided imagery and stress reduction.
