About the Author:
Karyna Arteaga de Abad was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on October 28th, 1965. A Catholic, she is married to Victor Alfonso Abad and the mother of four children: Lidia, Victorino Antonio, Paula, and Karyna. She is a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery, a journalist specialized in radio production, and a university professor. She has produced and hosted radio and television programs and has been the spokeswoman for nutrition and health advertisement campaigns. She currently writes for Mujeres 365 magazine and Desde mi trinchera, a digital newspaper. She is the author of La Librerķa, originally published in Spanish in 2009. This is the English version of the book, published under the name The Bookstore by the publishing company CBH Books.
