Synopsis
Agility Start to Finish is an all-inclusive book that teaches all of the aspects of training a dog in agility. In it, the author instructs the reader how to handle the dog while running the course, as well as covering each obstacle clearly and thoroughly. Agility Start to Finish suggests new ways of looking at fundamental concepts in agility and offers fresh new ideas when explaining things to students both human and canine. Ms. bauman also explains agility competition and how to participate in the trials, with helpful tips and advice that will aid the reader in preparing to compete. She has included a chapter specifically on the Border Collie and how it is best handled in the agility ring, as well as what to expect when competing.

About the Author
Winner of both a silver and gold medal during her three years representing the US on the World Agility Team, Diane Bauman is easily considered one of today’s most successful professionals in agility. Diane has instructed hundreds of successful students and many different breeds of dogs to reach their ultimate goals in sheep herding, obedience, tracking and agility.A born teacher, she has an amazing talent for understanding how dogs think and how people learn.Her teaching methods, outlined in this book, will guide the aspiring agility competitor to learn everything they need to know about agility, and, most importantly, how to build a special bond with their canine teammate.Jessica Ajoux, a graduate of Princeton University, is an experienced trainer, competitor, and instructor of agility and an official USDAA judge.
