About the Author:
Stephen Castles is Research Professor of Sociology at the Institute of Social Change and Critical Inquiry, University of Wollongong, Australia. He has been responsible for a wide range of studies on immigration and multiculturalism in Australia and Europe, and is Director of the Secretariat of the Asia-Pacific Migration Research Network program. Mark J. Miller is Professor of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Delaware. He has long been associated with the Center for Migration Studies in New York, and serves on the editorial board of the influential International Migration Review.
