From the Author:
A fast-paced adventure that contains the secret of life
To decide whether to buy this book, you need simply to answer "yes" to two questions. Do I like a fast-paced, can't put it down adventure-mystery story? Do I want to know the secret of life? Most people think the publisher and I are joking when we say the book contains the secret of life. But the truth is, we both think it does. I published the book on my own, originally. Writer's Digest picked it as the best self-published book of 1995, and it sold more than 5,000 copies through small, independent books stores. Not one reader complained that he or she didn't learn the secret of life. It was reviewed by more than a dozen magazines, and received many accolades. Only one reviewer said she didn't think it really contained the secret of life. She said it was a great read, and she'd recommend it on that basis, but for her it wasn't the secret. This reviewer was writing for the WHOLE LIFE TIMES in Carmel, CA. That's where Clint Eastwood and a bunch of other movie st! ars live. Now I ask you, is the secret of life for these folks the same as it is for everyone else in the universe? I'm not sure, but I want your help with this question. What I want you to do is buy the book and read it. Then email me with your comments. Is it, or is it not the secret of life? Unless I get so many it's impossible, I'll email you back with my comments about your comments. Would you mind? I'd really like to hear from you. I'm serious about this. --Stephen Hawley Martin, SMartin332@aol.com
