What if we could live hundreds of years? How would we fill our time? I wrote this book because I loved Shangri-La as sketched in James Hilton's Lost Horizon, and wanted to find a way to save the lamasery from the Chinese, who invaded Tibet in 1950 (nearly 20 years after Lost Horizon was written). In the event, I found myself writing about how we can find hidden depths within ourselves.
