About the Author:

Very little is known of the author who signed the book "C.C. Robin," though it is possible to retrieve information about his life from his biographical account. He was a widower, and he came to America with his only son, who died of yellow fever after their arrival. He appears to have a background in science and natural history. Yet much is conjecture; C.C. Robin's identity has not yet been pinpointed. Stuart Omer Landry, one-time owner and publisher of Pelican, felt very strongly about the Battle of Liberty Place.
