With candor, warmth, and humor, Joan Colvin author of bestselling Quilts from Nature, reveals what it takes, from first sketch to finished product.
The Nature of Design presents a rare opportunity to observe the mind of an artist in the process of creating art.
Joan's insight and experience, her trials and triumphs, will both prepare and inspire you for what you will encounter as a quilt artist.
"I encourage you to follow what interests you about the design process, benefiting from my hindsight and from what I've learned from each new quilt," Joan writes.
"I hope this book will help you gain insight into the issues that each of us face as we let ourselves be open to the what ifs in design."
