From the Author:
Men & women are from Earth!But they're different!Here's how!
At last, it is possible to make sense of sex and sex differences. By using the latest findings of biology, in simple and logical ways, we can understand the differences between boys and girls, men and women: Why men are more violent, Why women like romance, Why men are more attracted to pornography, Why women have full breasts, Why men are not as paternal as women are maternal, Why women are punished more than men for adultery, Why little boys are more likely to play with trucks and little girls, with dolls (regardless of what their parents might prefer!), What we can learn from animals - such as adultery in bluebirds, prostitution in hummingbirds, the large testicles of chimps, and "double mother suckers" in elephant seals. And this is just a partial list. We had many goals in writing this book. We wanted to share our enthusiasm for the power and insights of biology applied to sex and sex differences. We wanted to clear up some of the misunderstandings of how biology and culture interact. We wanted to provide people with the information needed to make their own choices. We also wanted to share some wonderful animal stories and some real-life clinical tales. After reading our book, we hope that you will have a new understanding of yourself and your inclinations, and also those of your children, parents and "significant others." Not only that, but we think we you will agree that science is not only "relevant," but can also be fun!
