About the Author:

Barbara Parisi (Brooklyn, New York) is Professor of Theatre and Performance Studies at Long Island University's Brooklyn campus. She founded and is the executive director of the nonprofit Ryan Repertory Company at the Harry Warren Theatre in Brooklyn.
