About the Author

David Starkey is Professor and Program Director of English at Santa Barbara City College, USA. He is the author of Creative Writing: Four Genres in Brief (Bedford/St. Martin's, 2008) and Poetry Writing: Theme and Variations (McGraw-Hill, 1999), as well as a number of books of poetry.
