Getting mad, getting even: how a story is born.
What if your parents, your childhood and your innocence vanished before your eyes? An LA Times article about the deliberate gas line explosion of a house set my creative juices flowing. Out of that germ of an idea grew "Common Passions". The title comes from an old quote: "revenge is a common passion." Mallory Caine never gets over her anger. When she's grown up and powerful enough to solve her parents' murder, nothing will stop her from bringing their killers to justice -- even if it means destroying herself in the process.
