Sisters Red Tam and Green Tam are a mix between Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and Evil Knievel, combining spunk with improbable physical prowess. It is summer, school is out and the sisters are ready to live every day to the fullest. Helpful and fearless, they find themselves in great demand by the local villagers. They track down a thief, sail with Pegleg Peter to retrieve his prized grandfather clock from the clutches of a dragon, and rescue the Prince of Cats from Sneezy Simms, the roughest, toughest pirate in the whole world. Using their wits, strength and ingenuity the sisters accomplish the seemingly impossible, and they part from their adversaries the best of friends. Besides pirates and dragons these exciting tales also feature animated wooden puppets, a troll, an evil hunter, a talking parrot and a clever monkey. The book contains three separate tales: The Puppet, the Troll, and the Hunter The Dragon and the Grandfather Clock The Prince and the Pirates

Once upon a time, I had an eight-year-old niece... well, actually, she was only seven, but she was going to turn eight, and I wanted to give her something special for her birthday. Everyone else in my family is good at making things --- we gave my Mom a dozen boxes of steel wool one year for Christmas, and she knitted us each a new bicycle --- but the only thing I know how to make up is stories. So I wrote and I wrote and I wrote, and I chopped words out and put new words in and finally had the three stories that are in this book.

There's a fourth story as well, if you'd like to read it --- I'm still polishing it, and if the first three do well, I may try to get it published too. If you'd like to read it, send me email: 'gvwilson@interlog.com'.

May all your beetles be crunchy, Greg
