John Rawlings is an artist and educator who has explored the world extensively. He was born in London but raised in Australia and earned his degree from the University of Guanajuato in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
Rawlings fell in love with Italy after living in Florence and Venice for extended periods. He has introduced the beauty of Italy to hundreds of students over the past twenty years while leading arts programs.
A teacher of art and history for over thirty-five years, Rawlings was named the 2014 Association of Community College Trustees Faculty Member of the Year for the North American Western Region.
Rawlings is a sculptor and painter who finds inspiration in found objects and natural materials. His work was displayed at the International Biennale in Egypt in 2006.
Rawlings lives with his wife, Souheir, in northwest Montana.
