About the Author:
Dr. Kristi Kahil attended Western Illinois University, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in 1991 and began teaching and coaching in San Antonio, Texas. She married her best friend, Dave, in 1993 and they had their son, Austin (Bear) in 1997. Dr. Kahil continued to teach and attended the University of Texas in San Antonio. She received her master’s degree in 2004 and transitioned into school administration. She earned her doctoral degree and became the principal of Mountain Valley Elementary in the Comal Independent School District in 2013. She continues to serve in that capacity and still believes that kids grow up too quickly! Published works include: Body Mass Index and Math Achievement of Eighth Grade Students; Co-author for “Time to Teach”.
