About the Author

Sara Khan was born in 1969 eldest of five children; is an outspoken campaigner and a powerful advocate for sexual abuse victims, now a Writer & Author, healer and an inspirational speaker on her philosophy of life. Her life started out an unhappy one, at a young age she had no control over. Which Sara writes about in her book? She said that as a child, she was continually abused, mistreated, and was overpowered by family honour and by her elders and their beliefs, At the age 22 she left home and fled to London where she found herself a job. She married in the 1990's to a lovely man, who is her rock and has stood with her on her fight for justice. Brought up in a British country, and upheld to Asian values. Which in reality wasn't a bad idea, if enforced correctly? She managed to turn her life around but the pain of her childhood was still there. She has two sons. Her book Life Does Get Better, describes where anecdotes are drawn from her own personal experiences were, from a very early age. She writes how she was sexually abused. Witnessing rape in front of her and her sibling's and how Family honour came first. Now in her 40's Sara campaigns to help and support other victims via various socializing network sites. Sara has a gift she can emphasis and sense others feelings when she gets letters from people, as the words jump out and speak to her via thought. This has given her the opportunity to set up a website for those suffering from depression, where she answers letters and advises on various issues that they may have.
