About the Author:

Beulah Ralph was born and raised on a remote farm in South Beaver Township, Pennsylvania. She was the 6th of 10 children. Each new baby was assigned to the oldest sister available to take care of daily throughout childhood. Beulah was seven when she got her “baby.” At age 13 Beulah left home to work for a family in town so that she could attend public high school. In exchange for bed and board, Beulah served as housekeeper and nanny. It was in high school that Beulah blossomed into a poet. Upon graduation she was named the Poet Laureate of Lincoln High School, Ellwood City, PA. World War II drew Beulah into her most prolific period of writing poetry. It was her response to the shifting world as family and friends were deployed or relocated. After the war, Beulah married, built an accounting career, and raised a family with three boys, surrounded by a strong church community. The family moved to Florida in 1947. Mrs. Ralph now resides in Fleming Island, Florida.
