There are hundreds of family names included of the people who settled in Cheyenne County Kansas by taking advantage of the Homestead Act of 1862. Many of the vignettes included would be a great addition to genealogical research. Much of the information about her ancestors came about because of her years-long search for her Crabtree, Bartlett, Kay, Hughes and Throckmorton connections.
