Investigating the Social World is a comprehensive, balanced text text for Research Methods courses found in Sociology, Communication/Journalism, Political Science, Public Administration, and other social science disciplines. It introduces students to social science research methods, gives them the critical skills necessary to evaluate research, and to prepares them to actually carry out their own research. Features and Benefits: The text is written so that the "doing" of social research is closely and consistently linked to important social issues by using real social data, demonstrating not only the value of research, but also how technique and substance are intimately related.
