About the Author:
Annie Beth Donahue lives in Indian Trail, North Carolina with her husband Brad, and four children. She has a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Queens University of Charlotte, and has either been working with or parenting children with special needs for the past 17 years. In 2010 she and Brad founded Signposts Ministries, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that serves families that have children with disabilities or chronic health problems both locally and internationally. She also currently sits on several advisory boards, including The Family Advisory Council for Levine’s Children’s Hospital, The Spina Bifida Association of North and South Carolina Advisory Council, as well as the Special Needs Advisory Council for Union County. Her daughter, Anna, is a member of the real Charlotte Rollin’ Hornets Prep Team. She and her husband also support Christian Adoption Services, the adoption agency in Matthews, North Carolina, that facilitated their two open adoptions. Annie Beth spends the majority of her time parenting and home schooling her children, while overseeing the care of their small menagerie- a dog, a snake, a guinea pig, twenty some-odd chickens, two goats, and a donkey. For fun, she oversees music management for documentaries produced by Camden Watts (an independent filmmaker based in Raleigh, NC). And she wishes that one day, at one of the many events she attends, she really will find a cart selling gluten-free funnel cake.
