About the Author:
Hey there, my name's Jackie and I have been a high school science teacher for fifteen years. I love my job and I love teaching hands on science. I incorporate many labs and projects into my classroom, and I have a special interest in cartooning for science concepts. I was inspired by a former student to use this skill in writing a book about DNA becoming protein, which is a very difficult concept for my students. By teaching through a fun story instead of textbook reading, students are able to make connections to their prior knowledge and gain a true understanding of the processes of transcription and translation. I'd love to help you do the same with your students!
