They say you should never judge a book by its cover...and this same sentiment applies to people, too.

In Sunrise, Stephanie lives what many would consider an ideal life. She works hard at her job, is in a long-term, committed marriage, and is a proud mother to two amazing daughters. She seems happy, secure, and stable.

But all this is just a pleasant-looking cover. Behind the scenes, her life is very different. Her alcoholic husband abuses, hurts, and humiliates her in many ways for many years—and Stephanie does everything she can to ensure that no one is the wiser.

Eventually, Stephanie makes a series of difficult decisions that will forever impact her life and the lives of her family members.

Sunrise chronicles the decisions she makes and the circumstances compelling her to make them. It also delves into the tendency for others to prefer seeing her as they always had, even after her dark reality is revealed.

A heartfelt story full of both pain and promise, this book offers a realistic perspective on the courage it takes to throw aside the cover and strive toward the passion and joy that life has to offer once again.
