Robert Alan Davidson was born and raised in Alberta. He was schooled in a small town and attended an American University. Most of his life was spent as an independent businessman in Edmonton with a special love for small manufacturing firms. As he travelled this road of self-employment, he took time to write for newspapers and radio, teach part-time at a technical school, and generally butt heads with the system. He and his wife, Patricia, have been together for over 45 years and have 2 married daughters, a lawyer and a scientist. He claims to have, at one time, owned the country's most extensive collection of humour novels but gave them all away after seeing a video of his golf swing, further aggravated by the continent's political drift to the right. Nevertheless, he remains optimistic and hopes his doctor does too.
