Mrs Valerie Driver - Thompson is a keen writer of poetry and is inspired from everyday sounds, smells and sights of day to day life, especially those that surround her when maintaining her garden, also of those people who are near and dear, both moments to treasure and also those not so fortunate. she is a volunteer for the R.V.S. helps out in at one of their T Bar's at one of the local Hospitals, also at a luncheon club for senior citizens, does domestic cleaning for a disabled senior citizen and is a carer to her sick husband, is a member of her local writers group, visits other senior citizens on their own in her spare time, collects postage stamps to aid the purchase for guide dogs for the blind likes to plant her flower pots and hanging baskets for the summer, plays snooker, and is a member of the local bowls club spends time on her computer with her writting and at bedtime her thoughts collect themselves into verse
