Alfredo Portinari Maranca is a former Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics professor aqt the Polytechnic School of Sao Paulo that began to study Logic and Philosophy for his thesis, joined the Advanced Studies Group in Philosophy of Science and Cognitive Science (of University of Sao Paulo) and ended up following a career in Law and Politics, involved in the creation of Brazilian Tax System for the Small Enterprises, as a representative of the Brazilian states. His passion, although is to teach philosophy, what he tries to fit in his professional life.
