Synopsis

This book of poems is a diary in a life journey spanning over 40 years. It is about trying to make sense of confusion. It is about finding a place to put words that one would not say out loud. It is about recording events so they would not be forgotten. The book is about appreciation for wonder and beauty, especially when found in unlikely times and places. It's about saving moments of inspiration to return to time and again. From 1993 to 1995, the poems were written for a monthly SGI-USA Sophia study group. Students wrote papers based on the written study material. The author also composed poems to accompany each paper. At the end of each year, the poems were bound into a notebook and printed to pass out to fellow students. The author is largely self-taught. Haiku is a favorite, but free-form prevails.

About the Author:

Margaret Netherby emerged from two failed marriages during the 1970s determined to support her six children. The former bookkeeper has studied and practiced Nichiren Buddhism, based on the Mystic Law of cause and effect and is a registered practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy, a gentle and healing form of bodywork. She resides in California
