About the Author:

Michelle-Lyn Maria James-Blandin was born and raised in Trinidad. She grew up in a neighborhood encapsulating a very broad demographic of Trinidad society. This made for an exciting childhood filled with many adventures which she shared with her siblings and other members of her extended family who also lived within the same community. A mother of two, Michelle-Lyn told them bedtime stories mainly about her childhood adventures. The idea for publishing first came about when she created short stories for two friends that attended the early childhood care education program at the University of Trinidad and Tobago Open Campus. Before deciding on becoming an author of children’s books, Michelle-Lyn like many of us had an employment history that was diverse. She has pursued careers in graphic arts and even worked with one of the major Oil & Gas Company’s based in Trinidad. Agouti-mush is the first book to be published by this young and upcoming author, the by-product of her exciting childhood escapades. Michelle-Lyn’s desire is to turn her passion for writing into a rewarding career whereby she can contribute to and enrich the lives of our youngsters with her books.
