About the Author:
Donna Gielow McFarland lives with her husband and son in Eugene, Oregon where she is a music teacher. Her love for children's literature began before she was old enough to read, and as a child she dreamed of writing books for kids. Author of early reader "Duck and Friends: The Dinosaur Bones," She has also published Christmas piano arrangements for kids and a music theory textbook. After her son was born, she decided to write him a story. "The Purple Elephant" is Donna McFarland's first chapter book.
