For many combat veterans of the Vietnam War, surviving the war in country was just the start. Ed Ramon was a highly decorated combat pilot, having survived two tours of duty in Vietnam and earned dozens of air medals, The Distinguished Flying Cross and a nomination for the Medal of Honor. He was among the best when it came to combat, but when it came time to deal with combat experiences post-war, he needed help. The first mental health professional he saw advised he simply "forget the war". Upon hearing that he threw a chair through the window and was committed to the mental health wing. He emerged determined to heal his own condition and assist other combat veterans with their own experiences with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. This is his story.
