Today's the Day is a result of decades of reflection, and listening to and learning from many people. I am profoundly indebted to all those who've helped guide me and inspire me. So, as I have been influenced by a wide variety of people, my words wish to return this favor in kind, and speak to the most common ear, in this world where discord and divisiveness and people struggling are ever so apparent. And it's clear to me, that our world is crying out for what no social, political, or economic agenda alone can provide. What we need the most is a widespread awakening of a spiritual kind, which will help unite us in the truest spirit of goodwill, cooperation, peace-making, and problem-solving. And such is our realizing and acting on the basis of what's ever-present and ever-available at the core of us all! Today's the Day, then, aims to continually draw the reader into the heart of the matter-into the very essence of who we are, and the very essence of love, and happiness, and peace. . . .
