The History of Pleasant Valley, New York from before the town officially came into existence on January 26, 1821 to current times. It contains over 200 photos of historic scenes from local streets and surrounding areas, the history of the railroads, schools, churches, hotel, and local organizations. It also includes lists of the internments in the Methodist and Quaker Cemeteries.

About the Author:
Pat Holt grew up in Pleasant Valley, after serving in the United States Marine Corps she married, she is the mother of adult children. In 1971 she helped organize the Pleasant Valley Sesquicentennial Parade. In 2005 she moved to Columbia, Missouri where she now lives. She returns to her roots in the valley every summer. She has also written her memoir, "An Eclectic Life" and "Major Floods Of Pleasant Valley".
