Having been inflicted with a severe wound, Box had fled into the inhospitable and dangerous rainforest but . . . it was his only refuge. About the Author:

Manuel M. Novelo, is currently a tour guide in the Belize Tourism Industry. He was born, raised, and lives in Orange Walk Town, Belize. His area of expertise is in Ancient Maya Archeology Tours, Natural History, and Spelunking. The Sacred Maya Smoking Shell is his first published novel and he is currently working in his second one. He is a proud descendant of the Yucatec linguistic group of the Maya People. He and his wife, Elsie, have four children Christy Becky and Abner. They were all born in Orange Walk Town, Belize.
