A Bitter DraughtThe main character finds herself in an empty subway station on her usually busy morning commute. Until she notices she's all alone, she's completely absorbed in how much she doesn't want to face this infamous day. As she descends the subway stairs she finds herself in a dark but tidy cellar with the most amazing wine--it glows green with its own energy. The Sculpture's LairThis story opens in the sculpture hall of an art museum. But a wrong turn lands our heroine in a working artist's studio, where she comes face to face with being subsumed in Christ's image. The Resting PlaceAn insomniac mom spends her time sipping chamomile tea and making lists of things that need to get done in the next few days. Somehow she slips into a dream where instead of a list for every area of her life, she gets a ball to juggle for each area, like work, home, school etc. She's juggling more and more until she finally looses her footing and falls down, cracking her head in the process. Instead of waking up, the main character is trapped in her dream as time stops. To her horror, there is someone else here that's not frozen and he's coming towards her down the shoulder of the highway. The AbyssIn classic Alice in Wonderland style, the main character is able to slip through a mirror in her house and what she finds on the other side is a mys

About the Author:
Elizabeth Frerichs read her first chapter book (A Little Princess by Frances Hodgeson Burnett) early on and fell in love with the world of books. She plunked out her first story on a typewriter around that time and has been composing her own stories off and on since then. A stay-at-home mom, she began writing again when health challenges provided forced down-time. Now she crams writing into all her oodles of spare time.
