About the Author:
Patrick "Paddy" Lee was raised in the Irish neighborhood of Dublin Gulch in Butte, Montana. After graduating from Carroll College, Lee received his Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of Oregon. Lee retired after 35 years of special education teaching and administration in Kalispell, Montana. Lee has self-published three mystery novels concerning important historical events that occurred in the mining city of Butte. His first mystery novel titled THE FIRE SEASON unfolded a story focusing on the arson-caused fires in Butte during the 1970s and 80s. The second mystery novel titled CANYON SECRET dealt with the building of the Hungry Horse Dam in 1952. A family from the McQueen neighborhood in Butte leaves during a fierce labor strike in Butte to work on the Hungry Horse Dam Project. POWER SWITCH is Lee's third and most recent novel and uses the tumultuous and pivotal fall of the Montana Power Company event during the late 1990s and early 2000 as the backdrop for this historical mystery. Lee remains closely connected to his Montana roots and values the diversity of the people and the colorful history of the State.
