Rod Earle started teaching with the Open University in 2006 and taught criminology courses as a visiting lecturer at the London School of Economics, City University and University of Westminster. He has published widely from this research and in 2014 completed his PhD by Publication in the Department of Social Policy and Criminology at The Open University. James Mehigan is a lecturer in criminology at the Open University and a human rights barrister at Garden Court Chambers. He is also a trustee of the UK branch of Front Line Defenders, a NGO that focuses on the protection of human rights defenders at risk around the world.
