ShawndaKizzie was born on August 17,1971 in BronxNew York.¿ She is the oldest of three children who wereraised by a great single mother.¿ Hermother felt that living in Richmond, Virginiawould be safer for her children, so she picked up and moved them there.¿ Shawnda graduatedfrom Thomas Jefferson High in 1989 and then moved to Pittsburgh.¿ She graduated with an Associates degree inmarketing in 1991.¿ It was there that shemet her ex-husband Edward Kizzie.¿ They were married in 1995 and had two beautifulgirls together.¿ Ky'monieKizzie died of a rare genetic disorder in 1999.¿ This is what has inspired Shawndato write her story.She now resides in Richmond, Virginia with her fianc, stepson, anddaughter.¿ She has dedicated her life tohelping children.¿ She is starting herown childcare service entitled "LiL Bit of Heaven" inmemory of Ky'monie Onyx Kizzie.¿ She hopes that it will grow and prosper.¿ She also enjoys writing poems and children'sbooks.¿ She is most grateful andextremely proud of her 6 year old daughter T'onna.
