Obwoinl jener kmnkhnfte Zustand, den man Rippen feentzündwtg, Plenriiis, heisst, sehr häufig vorkommt, obwohl man davon schon seit den ersten Zeiten der Medicin spricht, so hatte man doch von dem dabei Statt findenden patholog. Vorgangs ausserst unvoll kommene, ja vielmehr gar keine Kenntnisse, man be gm'igte sich, sonderbar genug, mit dem eigentlich nichts genden Worte „entzündung, und, als ob hiermit schon Alles erklärt wäre, bekümmerte man sich nicht ‚um die den Krankheitmrscheinungen zu Grunde lie genden materiellen Veränderungen Ofl'enbare, selbst grobe Irrthümer, sowohl in diagnostische: als auch, Vergl.
