Excerpt from The People's Bible, Vol. 27: Discourses Upon Holy Scripture; Ephesians-Revelation
Note. The Epistle to the Ephesians was written by the Apostle St. Paul during his first captivity at Rome (acts xxviii. I6), apparently immediately after he had written the Epistle to the Colossians, and during that period (perhaps the early part of a.d. 62) when his imprisonment had not assumed the severer character which seems to have marked its close.

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book contains a collection of sermons by the renowned Preacher and Scholar Smith. Central to Smith's work is the conviction that religious life should be joyous. His sermons explore the reasons for this through the lens of the Apostle Paul's letter to the Ephesians. Smith provides in-depth analysis of Paul's writing, discussing themes such as God's universal love, the importance of Christian unity, and the power of Christ's resurrection. He connects these themes to the broader history of the Church, and offers practical advice on how to apply them to one's own life. Smith's prose is characterized by its warmth and accessibility, and his insights into Paul's letter are both profound and practical. This book is a valuable resource for anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of the Christian faith and to find joy in their religious practice.
