That the kingdom of God or of heaven proclaimed by Jesus is a fellowship of men, appears not only from the natural import of the word kingdom, but from such expressions as, least in the kingdom, great in the kingdom (matt. V. 19, xviii. Of such is the kingdom, he shall in no wise enter therein (mark x. I4, I etc. That in it the highest morality is obeyed, is clear from the Sermon on the Mount (matt. V. - vii.
