Though an aptnefs to teach muft be-the gift of the God of nature, and cannot, therefore, be acquiredby reading and Rudy, yet where it is poflefled, it can be greatly improved by clofe and perfevering application. It is too plain to need proof, that men are made to dif fer from each other much more by education, than by native {trength of mind. Baxter, Owen, Edward:, and other eminent divines,wonld not have been what they were,had they not praétically regarded Paul's charge to Timothy Give attendance to reading. Neglect not the gift that is in thee. Meditate upon thele things.
