Seit dieser Zeit mehrten sich auch die Angaben uber das Eindringen der Spermatozoen in das thierische Ei, bis dann in neuerer Zeit durch die Forschungen von f0l, O. Hertwig, van beneden u. A. Die Verschmelzung der beiden Sexualzellen aufs sorg faltigste verfolgt wurde.
