No cards will be furnished for annual reports, for annual or serial publications, for documents or reports relating to private claims, or for analytical entries, excepting numbered documents of more than fifteen pages in the volumes of the Congressional reserve. Only the corporate author card will be furnished, on which will be indicated personal author, subject, and series entries. One duplicate copy of this card will be furnished for each of these entries indicated, except the series entry. No references will be furnished or indicated. Every Department, bureau, division, office, etc., of the Government is entered under U. S., followed by the exact name of the Department or bureau, etc., inverted, if necessary, so that the most important word shall come first. Exception: - Department libraries are entered under the name of the Department to which they belong, e.g.: - U. S. Agriculture, Department of. Library.
