A few notes also have been added, to explain the present unsettled state of Italy and America which is all that can be done respecting these countries till they have arrived at some definite condition. The Publisher feels gratified by the favourable reception which his Volume has hitherto met with, both from the public and the reviewers, and trusts by attention to future editions to render it worthy of continued patronage.
